What’s up?

I’m back! What? Did you think that would take longer? I can leave and come in again…but I’m already here and it takes So. Much. Effort. Okay, you talked me into it, I’ll stay.

Some updates: I wrote a heartfelt letter to Kevin Smith, then rewrote and rewrote to the point I think it’s about as good as it’s going to get…to rewrite just one more time. You know what they say, you never get a second chance to make a first impression. I need it to be at worse, acceptable and at best, Oscar worthy 😀

The reason for the letter: My son convinced me to send him an Edgar & Kevin & Richard & Wes shirt, I showed that off in a previous post.

The second hardest part, after completing the accompanying letter, is finding the right address to send it to. On Google it mentions mostly their View Askew office and SmodCastle BUT then hallelujah, I found an email address: assistant@smodcast.com so I can get the appropriate address rather than just sending stuff in the mail to never be seen again. I’ll keep you updated!

Speaking of shirts, I created a new design, this time to show off my love for Edgar Wright–er, Edgar Wright’s creations.

The front reads: “Looking for Mr. Wright” with a lipstick mark.

The back reads: “He’s a SPACED out RUNNING MAN, BABY DRIVER with HOT FUZZ, (drinking pints) with SCOTT PILGRIM and SHAUN OF THE DEAD RIGHT next to the ASYLUM, LAST NIGHT IN SOHO and he holds my heart in his FISTFUL OF FINGERS

***SPECIAL NOTE – these shirts aren’t available in the store…yet, we’ll see!

Let me know what you’ve been up to, what you think about the new design, what you think about Kevin Smith, what you think my chances are I’ll get a response to my email…whatever you like to say, here is your chance – comment below…or above, I’m not sure where it’s located tbh.

Whatever you do, have an awesome day!

REWRITE YOUR PAST

I was having a conversation with a friend, actually a few friends and family members about the concept of Past and Present relationships.

Have you ever had a moment where you couldn’t recall an event from say, your childhood or maybe your recollection doesn’t match what others remember?

I have a theory.

The first is this: If you shifted your reality so that your NOW doesn’t align with the past you previously acknowledged – for instance, in your ‘past’ you experienced money blocks – No matter how hard you worked there was never enough – but NOW you have multiple sources of income, savings, always more than you need!

Therefore, that previous past no longer is connected to this NOW, you connected to a past where you grew up with a prosperity mindset.

If your past is the foundation, then it would have to change in order to support the new reality.

Let’s not forget that we live in a multiverse, with an infinite number of realities to CHOOSE from.

Now, to flip this over, what if instead of focusing on your now and shifting what up till now has been the ‘destination’ of the GPS ‘directions’ from before, you connected to a different past?

Say you are sitting in Austin, TX but your goal was to get to Ashland, South Carolina, you could change your ‘directions’ so that you would be rerouted to the ideal destination.

If nothing else, you could have a lot of fun with this! Sometimes, I like to pretend that my ‘future’ self went back and gave myself investing advice and I might get a letter in the NOW stating my investment has matured and how would I like it to be paid out?!

Or if I feel a certain insecurity about say, learning new things, I could connect to the ‘past’ where people marvelled at my ability to recall information at will and ace tests!

What do YOU think? Share in the comments.

Also, what is something that you would rewrite?

Until next time – Love and Blessings!

I GIVE UP!

I give up! And I think maybe you should too!
I’ve been pushing it hard lately; work, writing projects, videos, training programs and more.
Last week I got sick, a sinus infection. I know that when we need a break and we aren’t listening and abiding by that our bodies will force us to break either with illness or injury.

So the sinus infection was a very clear message and of course I listened, right? No. I kept going, kept pushing and got stuck. I couldn’t write and I couldn’t study. I could barely meditate.

So this morning I finally did something about it; nothing! I finally got the message. I promised myself that I would give myself a break, some tlc and would only do things if inspired to, even if it was just lying on the couch and binge watching Ted Lasso for the 6th (9th) time.

Because sometimes when you are pushing, trying, striving, you create resistance to what you are wanting to manifest. Think about it. If you are confident that you will get what you want, if you truly believe it is already done, it is already yours, then there would be no need to push, right?

Which means continuing on that same path, with that same energy won’t get you there faster, in fact, you might not get there at all!

So if you are stuck with your manifesting then I encourage you to stop. Take a breath, take a beat and get really clear about what you want and allow yourself what you need. Whether it’s a bubble bath, nap, walk or a big ol’ bowl of Ted Lasso 😉 You better believe it helps!

Which reminds me, while I was breaking, or I guess you could say, braking, I stumbled across Youtuber Jackie, talking about the app Randonautica and how she used it to manifest. Check it out here – https://youtu.be/61jimd7wVkQ?i=cExZEECEXDAL4bMk

I’m inspired to try it out and I wouldn’t have found it if I had kept pushing forward with my agenda.

So, listen to your body and listen to your soul and act accordingly. You’ll thank yourself later.

Until next time – Love and Blessings!

WHY JUDGING DOESN’T SERVE YOU

We all do it from time to time. That inner critic comes out with an opinion about how someone is dressed or what they are saying or doing.

Sometimes this is done as a whisper to your friend in the moment, disguised as a random general post on social media, said directly to the person it pertains to or not said outloud at all.

It feels harmless when it’s only in your head, it’s not like they heard you anyways. Or especially when it’s a celebrity? Because not only did they not hear you but I mean they deserve both the good and bad that comes with fame, right?

Well, surprise, it’s not harmless, and it’s two fold.

For one, that person is receiving the energy you are sending, so if you thought they were a jerk before, whoah look out, because you just intensified it. Like fighting fire with fire.

And secondly, you are sending that negative energy out around you, indiscriminately, not just to the person you are critical of, not that that’s okay as we’ve established already, but family and friends and innocent bystanders. Not to mention the damage to yourself.

Whenever you judge someone, it’s coming from a low vibrational place. I mean it has to, you can’t be flying high in the vibration of joy or love and have the inspiration to judge someone, not even yourself.

Think of it this way, ‘What comes out of you, is inside you’. Wayne Dyer used to say if you squeeze an orange you get orange juice. You don’t want that negative limiting energy in or out of you. It doesn’t serve anyone, least of all you.

My process now is whenever I feel the need to criticize someone, even a celebrity, I stop and ask myself, WHY?

Is there some part of me I’m projecting onto someone else, as a way to not own it and handle it? If so, then I need to send that part of me love and then expand that love energy out into the world and then let it come back in again!

I have found that a lot of the people I have had the biggest problems with were those who didn’t cater to the opinions of others, they dressed how they wanted, spoke their mind and didn’t limit their choices in life, they were happy as they were and I was jealous of that.

So be kind to others and be kind to yourself. Love and Blessings!

May I Take Your Order?

There is a great metaphor to describe our attention in manifesting. The Universe as a restaurant.Sounds delicious, doesn’t it?
How does this fit in with law of attraction? It’s about choice.

Ever gone to a buffet style place and while browsing your favorite food choices, suddenly you’re assaulted by a dish of liver and onions?!
It’s traumatizing and it takes me weeks to get over…wait, no it doesn’t. I simply move past and focus on the food I want.

We do this in life but don’t always realize we’re doing it. We’re taught to focus on our problems.
If we don’t acknowledge them, talk about them, worry about them and use them to justify our feelings then we aren’t being adults.
Worrying is a funny energy, isn’t it? I read a quote once that said, “Worrying is like sitting in a rocking chair, sure it gives you something to do but you don’t get anywhere!”

Fixating on what you don’t want just brings more awareness of that in your reality. Imagine this, you are sitting between two friends. You are having a conversation with one friend about a surprise bill that popped up and you don’t know where you’re going to get the money. Your friend empathizes with you and even joins in with their issue at work that’s bothering them. Your other friend says, “You know, I could use some help moving some furniture this weekend and I can pay you.” That of course is a possible solution for your problem. However, what you do instead is continue to complain about the issue itself.

We don’t realize this because it’s so ingrained in us to narrate what is going on in our life, especially the drama. Like I said before, some of us were taught that if you weren’t stressing about a problem then you weren’t ‘handling’it. But how do you handle something out of your control? You can’t.

What you can do is let it go and trust that it will all work out, because it will. But how will it work out? I don’t know. You don’t know. It’s a very uncomfortable feeling…at first, after that it can be fun. Wait, did I just say that dealing with this incredibly terrible issue can be FUN? Somebody is out of their mind!

Look. It does sound crazy but it really does make sense. We’ve established that what we focus on, we manifest into our reality. Think of your attention as a lightbulb, ever seen the bug party at night on a lit up deck? Your focus attracts.

As strong as your focus is, you throw in emotions and now it’s supercharged. Joy is pretty powerful but so is fear, which can feel more comfortable too. The devil we know, right?
I said this would be fun right? Here goes.

Next time you find yourself worrying about an issue or even worse, talking about it, give yourself a break, like an actual work break. I will tell myself, “Okay, I’m putting myself in a time out bubble. There is nothing I can or have to do in the next 15 minutes anyways, so I’m going to stop thinking of this problem for a set amount of time and I can come right back to it…if I want, when the time is up.”

This satisfies that part of your subconscious that wants us to pay attention, so it will quit nagging. Next, is the fun part. This can be done in your head but I think it works better if you write it down. Plus you can refer to it whenever you need another time out! Make a list of anything you would rather be doing than thinking about that problem.

  1. Paid day off from work.
  2. Massage.
  3. Total spa day!
  4. Flying to Bali!
  5. A resort in Bali with a spa on the beach!
  6. Bringing my friends along!
  7. Receiving one of those gigantic checks for an insane amount of money!
  8. Test driving my dream car.

I think you get the point. Now, so you might be thinking, ‘Yeah that was a fun fantasy but I gotta get back to the real world now where that problem is stamping its foot and glaring at me like I’m in trouble.’

But hold on, that problem isn’t the same. When you shifted your focus away you gave it less power, it’s less formidable and more manageable. Plus, by having fun thoughts that bring up your vibration you are opening yourself up to inspiration, and inspiration leads to solutions!

I was blessed with the opportunity to work in a seasonal retail store after the company I worked for closed with no notice. This job involved a considerable commute, meaning a lot of time to daydream. Anytime there was traffic I would think, “If I worked from home, I would already be at work!”. Whenever I had to pay for lunch or gas or any other necessity another thought, “If I worked from home I wouldn’t be driving, therefore, no gas money. I could walk downstairs to the kitchen for snacks and meals.”

I had no idea WHAT job would allow this. Wasn’t sure if I had skills necessary for that type of job but it sure did carry me thru some rough and stressful days, the HOPE. Within a few weeks of getting the seasonal job I was referred by a friend for a remote job that I happened to have the skills from our previous employment together. Not only was this job from home but the pay was pretty great too.

I would like to say I took my own advice throughout but to be honest, I continued some negative attention on the original situation that led me to needing the seasonal job. Anytime anyone would bring it up I would disparage how the events played out, assigning blame and renewing my anger. I’ve worked on clearing that energy and feel much better.

Life has ups and downs, but just like a rollercoaster, it’s all part of the same ride. Give attention to what you want, express gratitude for what you have and everything will work out in the best way possible.
